How the exam works
The theory exam has two parts: a 3-question psychological test in which every answer must be correct, and a 20-question knowledge test in which you need at least 18 correct answers, with 30 minutes to answer. The bibip exam follows the official format.
It starts with 3 questions from group 11, bibip's color-plate set, which stands in for the psychological test. These answers are checked right away. On the real exam a mistake here is a fail and the knowledge test stays closed; on bibip you carry on and answer every question, and the result notes that the color-plate test was failed.
Then come 20 questions in the official split: 2 from group 2 (the law), 15 from groups 1 and 4–9 (Rules of the Road), 2 from group 3 (vehicle faults) and 1 from group 10 (first aid).
During the 20 questions you can move between questions and change your answers until you finish the exam. Answers are checked only at the end, and unanswered questions count as wrong.
You pass with at least 18 correct answers out of 20; the first 3 questions don't count toward the score.
You have 30 minutes to answer. The timer starts with the first question, and when time runs out the exam finishes automatically.
