Group 8 · Speed, towing, carrying people and cargo · Question 13 of 55

Under icy road conditions, towing is prohibited:

Choose an answer to check yourself.

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: With a flexible coupling.

Explanation

In icy conditions towing on a flexible coupling is prohibited: it does not hold the distance, so the towed vehicle can slide into the towing one. Towing on a rigid coupling or by partial loading is not prohibited on ice (Rules, point 143).
