Group 9 · Signals, lights, overtaking and railway crossings · Question 45 of 119

Where is it permitted to cross railroad tracks?

Choose an answer to check yourself.

Answer and explanation

Correct answer: At locations designated for crossing.

Explanation

Drivers may cross railway tracks only at railway crossings, and must give way to the train. Good visibility, a convenient spot or distance from a station gives no right to cross the tracks anywhere else (Rules, point 109).
