How to pass the driving theory test in Armenia and where to practise online
Answer
First go through the 10 question groups by topic (1050 questions) and group 11, then take full mock exams (20 questions, 30 minutes, 18 to pass) and review your mistakes. Over two weeks that is about 75 questions a day — a calculation, not a rule.
Details
- Topics. Go through all 10 groups without skipping the "hard" ones.
- Group 11. Colour plates, separately: the exam opens with a 3-question psychological test, and one mistake means the exam is failed (Decision No. 385-N, Annex 1, point 20).
- Mock exams. In the real format: 20 questions, 30 minutes; at most 2 mistakes allowed.
- Mistakes. Understand why an answer is right and come back to the questions you got wrong; do not memorise wording.
Of the exam's 20 questions, 2 come from the law, 15 from the traffic rules, 2 from faults and conditions, and 1 from safety and first aid (point 17), so no topic can be left weak. 75 is 1050 ÷ 14 if you go through the whole bank once; it is arithmetic, not a rule.

FAQ
How long does it take to prepare for the theory exam?
There is no official norm. Our plan is two weeks at 30–40 minutes a day: topics in week one, mock exams and mistakes in week two. A good target is three mock exams in a row with at least 18 correct answers.
Are online tests enough without a driving school?
For the theory part, yes: by law a driving-school certificate is not required for categories A, B and C. Tests prepare you only for theory; the practical exam is separate. Details are in Is a driving school compulsory in Armenia?.
Do bibip questions match the exam?
The questions come from the official bank on roadpolice.am; the current bank is dated 02.10.2026 and has been on bibip since 05.10.2026. The exam's 20 questions are drawn from the bank at random, so learn the whole bank, not individual questions.
Is it available in Russian and English?
Yes, bibip works in Armenian, Russian and English. The exam can also be taken in Persian and Arabic, but bibip does not have those languages.
Is bibip free?
Yes, there is no paid plan and no ads. Practice by topic needs no registration; a free account saves your progress and lets you repeat mistakes.
