Group 5 · Right of way at intersections · Question 111 of 136
When making a left turn, must we yield to the tram?

Choose an answer to check yourself.
Answer and explanation
Correct answer: Yes.
Explanation
There are no traffic lights or priority signs, and at an unregulated intersection a tram, whatever its direction, has priority over non-rail vehicles moving in the same or opposite direction on an equal road. Turning left, you cross the tracks of the tram traveling alongside you, so you must give way to it (Rules, points 98 and 100).
