Meaning

A movable (opening) bridge or a ferry crossing. The sign is placed before the start of the hazardous section, 150–300 m ahead of it outside built-up areas and 50–100 m ahead of it in built-up areas. If necessary, it may be placed at a different distance. In that case the distance is shown on plate 8.1.1 “Distance to object”.
