Using the horn is prohibited, except when it is sounded to prevent a road traffic accident. The zone of effect may be shortened with plate 8.2.1 “Zone of effect”. The sign applies from the place where it is installed to the nearest intersection beyond it, and in built-up areas with no intersection, to the end of the built-up area. Its effect is not interrupted at U-turn places and gaps in the median strip, or at exits from areas adjacent to the road and crossings of (junctions with) field, forest and other secondary roads, unless corresponding signs are installed before them.
