A pedestrian crossing marked with signs 5.19.1 and 5.19.2 “Pedestrian crossing” and/or road markings 1.14.1–1.14.2. The sign is placed before the start of the hazardous section, 150–300 m ahead of it outside built-up areas and 50–100 m ahead of it in built-up areas. If necessary, it may be placed at a different distance. In that case the distance is shown on plate 8.1.1 “Distance to object”.
